A line pair gauge is a device used in Real Time Radiography (RTR) to indicate image quality. The device indicates how many line pairs can be discerned in a width of one millimeter (.03937 inches).

The resolving capability of an RTR system often is referred to as a number of Line Pair (LP), per millimeter (LP/mm). Typical ranges for conventional microfocus RTR systems are between to 20 to 40 LP/mm.
